FAQ
What's the dress code?
Dress to express! Think disco ball at golden hour — sequins, metallics, bold color, something that makes you feel like yourself but turned all the way up. Mermaids welcome. Suits encouraged to shimmer. The only rule: wear something you want to dance in.
Do you have a registry?
Your presence is truly the gift. If you'd like to do something extra, we're building a life together in Brooklyn and contributions to our home fund are always appreciated — think: a really good couch, a pasta maker, or a future trip to swim somewhere warm. Details to come.
Is there parking?
Street parking is available in Ditmas Park but can be limited on weekends. We recommend taking the Q train to Cortelyou Road — it's a short walk. Rideshare drop-off works great too.
Is the ceremony outdoors?
Yes! The ceremony and cocktail hour are in the garden, and dinner is under a tent. We'll have a weather plan in place — dress for a Brooklyn September evening, which can get breezy after dark.
Are kids welcome?
We love your little ones, and we also want you to dance freely. This is an adults-only reception — we hope you can make it a night off!
Can I bring a plus-one?
Our venue is cozy so we've kept the guest list tight. If your invitation includes a plus-one it will be noted on your RSVP. Reach out if you have questions.
What's the deal with the swim club?
CIBBOWs (Cold Is Better, Brighton Open Water Swimmers) meets at Brighton Beach year-round. Yes, we swim in the ocean in February. Yes, it's wonderful. No, it is not required to attend the wedding.
Will there be an open bar?
Absolutely. Cocktails, wine, beer, and a signature drink TBD. Non-alcoholic options will be equally festive.
Where should I stay?
We love Ditmas Park and nearby Prospect Park South. There are also great options in Park Slope and Windsor Terrace — all well connected by the B and Q trains.
